A brightened photo of Level 7's main room.

Level 7 is the 8th level of The Backrooms.

Description

Level 7 consists of 2 areas: The House and the Ocean.

The House

The House will always be the entry area, meaning when walkers enter Level 7 they will be inside the house, but always in the living room. The house seems to have a finite size, where there is the main room, the bathroom and the bedroom.

No one has yet explored Level 7, but what is currently known is that Level 7's first and potentially only proper "room" has the usual fluorescent lighting. The room is at an angle to the rest of the floor: the single door opens to show the surface of the water from a top-down perspective. The room is apparently rotated horizontally, but gravity still works to keep your feet on the ground in the first room. The entry room is also directly at the bottom of the Level 6 stairs. This entry room is the most liveable spot on the level and should be used as a base for those who dare to explore the ocean. Upon entry, gravity changes to pull the person towards the water and is significantly stronger than normal gravity. The water has been reported to be "very cold" and generally not advised to wade into.

The bathroom is the only area that has its source, the seawater from Level 7.

Upon entering the bathroom, the only thing that is not flooded is the bathroom stall. When going to the bathroom, there is a shower and a drain. The shower has a random temperature, which can be hot, warm or cold. No danger has been reported inside the bathroom, but there have been reports of Death Rats appearing, it is unknown if it is real and is unconfirmed.

Level 7 has only one bedroom, which appears to be a children's room due to its children's objects. The room contains a bed, a toy box and a lamp. The toy box contains infinite toys and very similar to those in The Frontrooms. The lamp is similar to the Level 5 lamp, but the buzz is similar to that of Level 0, but at a lower volume than that of Level 5.

The Ocean

The ocean appears to have a cold temperature of -7 degrees and appears to be large, with its size unknown. The deeper the hiker swims, the dimmer the light becomes. At its bottom, it has wet sand that resembles the floor of Level 0. At the bottom, too, there are several skeletons, including several almost humanoid figures and huge fish. It is also known that in the ocean, there is a cave that gives access to Level 8.

Colonies and Outposts

Fort Surrender

  • Had 8 B.A.S scientists and 20 T.T.G guards
  • The main objective is to study the depth of the 'bottom of the sea', find The Thing On Level 7.
  • They set up a temporary camp near the only room.
  • After finding the seemingly 'endless' deep 'sea floor' and eventually finding a more 'practical'
  • The team is attacked by robed attackers (probably TPWG, see above) and retreated through the more 'practical' exit, ending at Level 4 with a sealed fire door with leaking water.

Entities

Level 7 is inhabited by an entity that lives in the deeper areas of the level, which is The Thing in Level 7. Any formerly living thing within Level 7 is theorized to have been wiped out by this single entity. If find it, report it to Fort Surrender immediately.

Entrances and Exits

Entrances

  • Exploring deep into Level 6 can lead to a ladder to Level 7. The easiest way to find this ladder is to listen for the faint sound of waves.
  • There are rumours of a possible entrance through a puddle on the floor of Level 8.

Exits

  • Finding and entering a Level 7 ocean floor cave will lead to Level 8.
  • Certain locations under the water of the area may lead to Level 37.
